Calculating Your Personal Day Number

If you've ever gotten a Numerology chart reading, you may already be aware of some of the Numerology numbers that have an influence on you, such as your Life Path number, Expression number, Soul Urge number, Birth Date number, and more. And while these personal numbers in your Numerology reading are important, there are even more numbers you should be paying attention to!

Your Daily Number in Numerology is one of the most common Numerological calculations you'll benefit from. Knowing your personal day energy helps you determine how you might be feeling that day, how the energy could affect your love life or relationship, or even tell you something as simple as whether you can expect to have a good day. So how does it work? It's a pretty simple equation that doesn't require hard work and is something you can do for yourself, every day -- no calculator needed!

First, as with most other Numerology calculations, we reduce! Reducing numbers (usually from your birth date or, in Name Numerology, from the numbers calculated via your name) to a single-digit number. The numbers we need to calculate your Personal Day number are reduced from the current date and month and day of your birth.

For example, if you were born on October 12, and you wanted to know your day number for March 16, 2020, you would calculate as follows:

Birth Month: October is the 10th month of the year. 10 reduces to 1 (1 + 0 = 1).

Birth Date: The date of birth is 12. 12 reduces to 3 (1 + 2 = 3).

Current Month: March is the 3rd month of the year. 3 is already a single digit.

Current Date: The date is the 16th, which reduces to 7 (1 + 6 = 7).

Current Year: The current year is 2020, which reduces to 4 (2 + 0 + 2 + 0 = 4).

Now add the result of all the reduced numbers: 1 + 3 + 3 + 7 + 4 = 18 = 9.

The Number of the Day in this case is 9.

So, what does that 9 mean? That's where the interpretation gets tricky. You can find out what the meaning of the Numerology number 9 is, but that will just give you a basic idea. It would be similar to looking up the meaning of a Tarot Card or someone's Sun Sign, without knowing anything about the context of which other cards are around it, or what the person's Moon and Rising Sign are.
